When people in the Manila area feel like a good pub
lunch, a drink after work, an hour or two watching their favorite sports
game, an evening with a live band or partying with friends, they often
head to Murphy’s Makati. We believe it’s the best pub/restaurant in the
Philippine capital city, and many locals and visitors agree.
Pub fun the Irish way
You’ll notice that green is our favorite color –
that’s because of our Irish pub ancestry. We like the way the Irish have
pub fun. In addition to our full ice-boxes and shelves of local beers
and spirits, we go to a lot of trouble to make sure that our wide range
of imported Irish drinks – beers, stouts, whiskies, liqueurs, etc. –
arrive safely in good health for our regular bar stocks (the Philippines
is a long way from Ireland). And if you’re in town on St Patrick’s Day…
now that’s a real party at Murphy’s.
Good food, good service
We have a wide and varied menu of local and international dishes at
reasonable prices. Whether your taste buds run through basic pie and
beans, to Filipino pork adobo, curry or prime rib, we have it. We don’t
claim to
offer Michelin 3-star fine dining. But Murphy’s chefs are talented and
work hard to ensure that fresh food is perfectly prepared and speedily
served at your table. And we’re known for the friendly, smiling and
efficient service of our bar and restaurant waiters and waitresses.
Murphy’s is divided into three separate areas – to
cater to customers who smoke or don’t, who prefer airconditioning or
ceiling fans with an open frontage, people who want a party atmosphere
with music, and guests who just want a quiet chat or uninterrupted
dinner.
For customers who want/need to be online with their laptops, Murphy's
has a free Wi-Fi internet connection.
Everybody's welcome at Murphy's
Everyone is welcome at Murphy’s pub. It’s a favorite
watering hole of locals and visitors, business people and sports fans,
Filipinos and foreigners, young and old, guys and girls. The ladies in
particular appreciate Murphy’s as a place to relax quietly or to party
if they’re in the mood, without being embarrassed by rowdies or “hit on”
(to put it in the blunt vernacular).
Murphy’s is located in a quiet area of Makati City, a
safe oasis in one of the Philippines’ busiest business and entertainment
areas. We’re just a few minutes' drive (or often a short walk) from most
Makati hotels, business offices and residential areas. We have car
parking on the street outside, or nearby when it’s a busy day or
evening.
Sports, live bands and quiz nights
Apart from our regular pub and restaurant attractions,
Murphy’s has several specialties that attract crowds of regulars. For
instance, we show all major sports events around the world on
wide-screen TV (live if it’s possible); we have regular music evenings
with good bands; and our weekly quiz nights are packed out.
